This is it. The last race of the long season. And what a way to end things with 50 more miles of Michaux. In some ways I will miss racing, but I am really looking forward to some nice casual, fun fall riding. Fall is my favorite time of year to ride my mountain bike, I guess that is why I don't race cross.
I am looking forward to some awesome riding tomorrow. The weather looks outstanding, and the course should be rockin', no pun intended.
Les the International man of Mystery and myself are heading out today for some camping and I am sure some "carbo loading" Should be a good time.
Cheers,
Buddy

Please excuse the poor quality, but theses pics were taken after a 100 mile race and a few beers, with my phone.

Lonely Mountain Bikers...
With Cross season looming it seems our little mountain bike community has dwindled in numbers.
I decided Thursday night would be my first time back on the bike since the SM100 so I showed up for the group ride at Fair Hill. The rest of the group consisted of Todd. We had a good ride it seemed like we were both suffering from T.L.S. or tired leg syndrome. Saturday's group ride was White Clay and Middle Run, once again Todd and I were the group, and once again it was a good ride. But I couldn't help wondering where the rest of the non cross racing folks were. Sunday we were back at Fair Hill, yet again it was Todd and I with Blair riding with us for a little bit. Another good ride, but still no people. We did see Fort James and Randy but hardly any other people.
OH Well, maybe in a couple of weeks folks will start showing up again. As for me I have 1 race left. I was having serious doubts as to whether I was going to do any more but, I can't resist the last Michaux race so I will be there this weekend. I just hope things go better for me.
Cheers,
Buddy
