Ready To Rock!!!

I am all packed up and itching to leave. I am an excitable person and there is something about 24 hour races that just amplifies that. I didn't sleep well, I am packed up and just waiting to leave. This is why I am always early, I just can't wait. Like fatmarc, I worry whether or not I am ready, do I have enough food, is my bike in tip top shape. I am sure everything is in order, but I can't help but be a little worried.

This is going to be awesome, we have a great team and great support. I just have to ride, eat, rest and repeat. Well I am off.

Clash Of The Titans...

I have avoided the Tuesday night ride recently, because I wasn't feeling great. I have been feeling better lately so I decided to give it a go. I got there early and did an hour of riding on my own. Then Todd and Matty (run forrest) showed up and we flew around the Judge. We met with the rest of the group at 6:00 and the pace went nuts. Marc, Dan the man, Paul G, and slick Rick rounded out the final group. Todd was hammering and I was feeling good. I bailed out from the group when I hit 2 hours of riding. You can see a full ride report at www.fatmarc.com . From what I hear it was awesome. I am excited about the 24 hours at 7 Springs this weekend. I am feeling good and can't wait to hit the trails. I just hope they didn't get a shit load of rain.

This Isn't the Beach...

I am no bike mechanic but I play one on TV.

Road Rides Can Be Fun!!!

The original plan for today was a mountain bike ride at fair hill. Unfortunately it rained a lot so it was a road ride on no ride. I called Marc and he was game, he has a nice loop from his house and that is what we did. We were joined by StickRick.com and Tom McD. I have done this loop a few times and it always the same, some good hills and a whole lot of attacking. Rick was doing a good job of working us over today. Every time I though I had him he came powering right back. Marc was fresh off vacation so his legs didn't open up right away, but when they did he was flying off the front when ever the opportunity came. Tom was the same way, he wasn't feeling it for the first half but got a lot stronger as the day went on. This was the first ride in a long time for me where I felt really good. I could put in a big attack and recover to do it again. Despite the rain this was a fun ride and a great work out. I was trying to see if we could beat the time we had in the spring. We did the loop in 1:54 this spring today we did a 1:50 with a detour thrown in. Not too bad.
Well I got nothing else for now so, thanks for reading,
