This weekend brought frigid temperatures, which was fine by me, because that brought frozen trails. We had a nice group at Fair Hill on Saturday. Keith G, Jay, Leo and Les. The trails were a little choppy from horses and idiots riding in the mud, but they were still great and plenty of Super Hero Traction. We ran into several groups taking advantage of the freeze. Marc was leading a nice sized group. Plus there were plenty of others. After the ride I chilled on the couch and watched a little hockey. Then it started snowing, which was going to make today's ride awesome. First though we were meeting Rachael's boss for dinner at Homegrown. After a nice meal and a couple of Arrogant Bastard Bombers, we went to Iron Hill for a couple more beers. Rachael's Boss and fiance are really cool people, I can see why she loves her job.
Today I rode solo. I was running late for a group ride so I did my own thing at White Clay/Middle Run. Just enough snow to make it fun and slick, I would have rode for hours but my feet got cold after 2 so I called it a day.
On a side note i recently got a new car. My 2002 140,000 mile Trailblazer is gone, in its place in the driveway is a 2006 Subaru Forester. I have to admit it was one of the last cars I expected to buy, that is until I drove it. I have to say I am a really big fan.
Time to cook dinner and enjoy some Nugget Nectar, Sooooo, Good.
Cheers,
Buddy
