Holiday Weekend...

This weekend started early for me. We got out of work at 11:30 on Friday. Which is just as well because it was the start of me being sick all weekend. So I spent most of my Friday sleeping. I did feel a little better on Saturday and decided to do the Elk Neck Holiday ride. I am really glad I did. Elk Neck has always been one of my favorite places to ride, but 3 years ago we lost a lot of trails due to storms and a new ranger closing them down. Thanks to the work of Andy Kirk and a few locals, a lot of the trails were restored and a few new ones added. This made our Christmas Eve ride worth while. It felt good to be out with such a large group as well, some folks I hadn't seen in ages. Matt, Ted, Fuzzy, Marc, James, L Webb, Jeb Bagger, Andrew, Fitzy, Katie ( fresh off her second cyclocross national championship),Chris, Dennis, Mike, Peter and his son. See www.fatmarc.com for some nice pictures. Sorry if I missed anyone. The ride was awesome and the trails were in great shape. Now that I know the loop I will be riding there as often as I can. I think Matt mentioned next Saturday.

Rachael and I had a nice Christmas together. After visiting my parents, Rachael's friend Karen came over for dinner, we even let her help cook it.

We had Pheasant, with all the trimmings. It was delicious, after which we watched Christmas Vacation a classic funny ass movie.

Today I stopped in Waywood Beverage and picked a nice bottle of beer,

I am holding a 3 liter bottle of Stone's Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale. It is a lot of beer and I can't wait to start drinking it. I sampled this stuff at The Kennett Brew fest and was totally blown away, one of the best beers I have ever had.

Rock On,

Buddy
