Road Trip...
I have ridden in State college a few times and I absolutely love the trails up there. Plenty of technical rock sections, super fast descents, and lung busting climbs.
Of course I am hoping to have good legs on Sunday, but my biggest goal is to have fun and enjoy the trails. Just like Michaux I will use the first 15-20 miles to see how I am feeling, then either step it up or settle in.
No matter it should be a good weekend. I want to thank Wes T Conqueror in advance for arranging for us to stay at his Parent's house. I also want to thank the Shempf's for there hospitality.
Time to start getting it together,
Cheers,
Buddy

Spot Brand Make Over...
It has a lot of miles and has suffered the occasional scratch or minor ding. To pay her back for all those wonderful miles of sweet single track bliss, I sent her off to the wonderful and luxurious Spot Brand Salon and Spa in Goulden Colorado. There she would pampered, and given a complete make over.
After three relaxing weeks, she has returned a new bike.
Even got a little extra bling with the sterling silver head badge.
Now I can't wait to get her into the woods where I can have my way with her.
Cheers,
Buddy
That's Better...
Matt put together a nice loop, and kept the Tempo high. After a while he had to back it down a bit, which was OK by me, after all we were going for 5+ hours. The trails were in great shape, they seemed to get even better when a light rain started to fall.
After about 3 hours of Fair Hill we made our way to White Clay. I took over the Tempo and just tried to keep it steady. I went straight for the new stuff in Middle Run, after the hootin' and hollarin' it was time to make our way back to Matt's. It worked out well, I was hoping for 50 miles and we ended up with 50.5.
Now some rest and then try and rock out at the Stoopid 50.
Also, congrats to our team mate Surly Bob, who was out in Ohio kicking ass at the Mohican 100. Bob took second in the 100 mile Single Speed class. Nice Job Bob.
Cheers,
Buddy
